Our Commitment to a Greener Stay

Green Key Certified

Crowne Plaza Brussels Airport is proud to hold the Green Key certification, one of the world's leading eco-labels for the hospitality industry, awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE). This label recognises our ongoing commitment to sustainable operations across energy, water, waste management, and environmental education and it is renewed annually through independent auditing.

Energy

We actively monitor and reduce our energy consumption throughout the hotel. Our lighting systems include energy-efficient LED technology, and our building management systems help us control heating, ventilation, and air conditioning in real time. As part of IHG's Green Engage program, our group-wide sustainability platform tracking over 200 green solutions we continuously identify new ways to lower our carbon footprint.

Water

Water conservation is a priority at every level of our operations. Our guest rooms are equipped with low-flow showerheads and taps to reduce water use without compromising your comfort. Our technical team conducts daily checks to detect and address any leaks promptly. We also offer a towel and linen reuse program simply hang your towels to let us know you'd like to reuse them during your stay.

Waste

We are committed to reducing waste at the source and managing what remains responsibly. The hotel operates a full waste sorting system, separating plastics, paper, glass, and general waste. To fight food waste, we partner with Too Good To Go, giving surplus food a second life. In our restaurant, Craft Brasserie, we work to minimise single-use plastics and continuously look for more responsible sourcing options.

Green Spaces & Biodiversity

Our hotel is set within a beautiful 4-hectare park, a natural green space we are committed to preserving. We take care to minimise disruption to local flora and fauna, and we promote biodiversity as part of our broader environmental responsibilities.

Getting Here Responsibly

We encourage low-carbon travel to and from the hotel. Our free shuttle service connects you to Brussels Airport every 20 to 30 minutes, and the nearest train station is just 2 km away, with direct connections from over 80 stations across Belgium. Cycling and walking routes are also available for those exploring the local area.

Beyond our walls, we take part in environmental and community events throughout the year, including Earth Hour, Earth Day, Giving for Good and local clean-up initiatives. Skip Your Housekeeping, Plant a Tree : We are proud to partner with Hotel for Trees, a program that turns your choice to skip housekeeping into a real environmental act.

Here's how it works: hang the Hotel for Trees sign on your door and skip your room cleaning for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights ; and we will plant a tree on your behalf. No cleaning products, no fresh linen, no water used. Just a simple gesture with a lasting impact.
